Top 15 One-Album Wonders

As music fans, we hear a lot of new music all the time from promising new artists. Some national debut albums really leave a mark on us, getting us pumped for the artist's career ahead. Sadly, some of these artists never even make it to album number two before they stop making music, break up, or just disappear.

This list is a countdown of our top 15 "One-Album Wonders" -- bands that released just one album before disappearing from the map for one reason or another -- leaving us to wonder what could have been with album number 2.

#9. Jaymes Reunion
Everything You've Been Looking For

Release Year: 2010



Jaymes Reunion's tenure with BEC Recordings is an especially curious case. After the band signed to the label and recorded their debut Everything You've Been Looking For in 2008, the album didn't see the light of day until April 2010. According to our 2009 interview with frontman Cameron Jaymes, BEC's goal was to release the album at just the right time, and though it was a fun and memorable pop/rock album when we finally heard it, it never seemed to catch on with a large audience.

Everything You've Been Looking For was upbeat, and well-rounded for a debut, and it would have been easy for a band like Jaymes Reunion to maintain a fruitful career off of the album's infectious songwriting, but listeners never heard a follow-up. Cameron Jaymes is still pursuing music, however; following Jaymes Reunion's quiet disbanding, he and former American Idol contestant (and Cameron's wife) Kelly Bachran formed the pop duo GOLD, releasing an impressive self-titled EP in 2013.
