Compilation CDs were all three rage in the 90s. Some were free or $0.99 with a purchase, some were well-thought-out, and others were a bit odd. Seltzer, which eventually released three volumes, was a little bit of the latter two. The compilation was released by Forefront Records, and featured a lot of their artists, but also had several T&N bands as well. I'm still not sure how Forefront and T&N came together for this one, but I'm glad they did. The fourth track is Plankeye's "B.C." from their album Commonwealth. That song and album remain my favorite Plankeye material to this day. Commonwealth is the band's third album, but really found them hitting their stride. Scott Silletta was on the point with his songwriting and was able to do something truly special with this one. Beyond "B.C.," I'd highly recommend "Whisper to Me," "Push Me Down (Veiled)," and "Placement." I've always been a big proponent for Plankeye on the JFH staff and I'm truly happy to see others recognizing their importance to the history of T&N and Christian rock in general.
