Emery rarely disappoints when it comes to new material. You Were Never Alone was a fantastic record and the excitement over their 7th LP grows daily. I'm expecting Matt, Toby, and the gang to go all out here. This one is going to be good!

You Were Never Alone was arguably the most impressive Emery album to date, but when the Biblical meanings for each song was revealed on the two-part break it down episode "You Were Never Alone is a Concept Album," it was simply mind-blowing. An incredibly high bar is set for this new release, and I think anything that comes remotely close to the quality of YWNA will be a big win in my book. They definitely deserve the top spot.

No one would have expected this niche emo band to have lasted this long, but the past couple of years have seen Emery develop a second wind in creativity. With You Were Never Alone being one of the group's best releases, expectations are high for LP7. Hopefully last year's excessively successful Kickstarter campaign will provide the motivation they need to top themselves.

Emery’s studio albums have never let me down. After releasing one of their best to date in 2015, 2018 is looking bright with LP7 on the horizon.
