A Voice in the Wilderness Vol. 1 cover
02. Running to You
Album: A Voice in the Wilderness Vol. 1
Artist: David Vaters

At times I’ve been destructive
At times I’ve played the fool
At times I let my emotions run higher than they should

I said some things about you
And they really weren’t that nice
I left you out of conversation when you could have shed some light

I’ll be running to you
Running to you
I’ll be running to you as fast as I can repeat 2

You always had your arms wide open
You always stood by my side
You never left me for a moment but I left you crucified

I’ve got troubles I can’t solve
And it’s taken me to this place
I opened my heart to thank you for your forgiveness and your grace

I’ll be running to you
Running to you……….I’ll be running to you as fast as I can repeat 2
Not going half way gonna start to day
I’ll be running to you
Running to you……….. I’ll be running to you as fast as I can repeat 2

Running to You Words & Music by David Vaters ©2014 ASACP

Behind the Song:
I think we have all at one time or another felt we messed up on our relationship with both people and God. This is a prayer I wrote down and put music to it. Written in the tour bus between Nashville and Toronto.
