It’s a time of celebration
A time of pause and revelation
Don’t worry ‘bout me now that I’m gone

If it saddens you to miss me
Just remember the last time you kissed me
I promise you we’ll see each other soon

Now I’m blessed I’m at rest Safe within his arms
Now I’m blessed I’m at rest and it won’t be very long….til I see you in heaven

I can see the pearly gates
I’m walking streets of gold
God’s timing is so perfect he’s the rock that doesn’t roll

I see momma and I see Patrick
Waiting for me on a cloud
I hear heavenly drummers syncopated and playing loud

Now I’m blessed I’m at rest Safe within his arms
Now I’m blessed I’m at rest and it won’t be very long….til I see you in heaven
So don’t cry for me, don’t cry for me, don’t cry for me….cause I’ll see you in heaven
So don’t cry for me, don’t cry for me, don’t cry for me….cause I’ll see you in heaven
I’ll see you in heaven, I’ll see you in heaven, I’ll see you in heaven

I wasn’t always perfect
lord knows I made mistakes
There’s one thing I know for certain
he died for all our sakes

And if your here not knowing
Where you’re going one fine day
Just ask him to forgive you
He’ll wash your sins away
Then you’ll be blessed and at rest
safe within his arms

You’ll be blessed and at rest
and it won’t be very long…til you see me in heaven.

Behind the Song:
Written in Wichita Falls, Tx Everyone has had someone close to us pass away. This song was written for my brother in law Billy Harrison. I also sang this at my fathers funeral. I hope you listen carefully to the words!
