In today's scene of band breakups and almost immediate reunions, a 7 year hiatus seems like forever. That's what Living Sacrifice was facing in 2010 when they reappeared in a Christian metalcore scene that had changed dramatically since their last album. And what a reappearance it was. The veterans of thrash-infused metalcore absolutely exploded with The Infinite Order, an album that didn't need nostalgia to sell itself. It's riff-heavy, breakdown-rich, and has all the percussive energy longtime fans of the band would expect. More than simply an excellent comeback album, it turned out to simply be one of the best metal albums released in recent memory.
