At the risk of offending Michael Weaver, Showbread is perfectly represented on this list. Sure it's kinda weird that three of their albums are here between numbers 20 and 11, but that's just how the votes landed!
After their chaotic and screamy debut in 2004, Showbread lost a lot of fans with Age of Reptiles, a more focused and cohesive body of work. It‘s those ex-fans‘ loss, though, as this is one of Showbread‘s best albums. It’s got loads of satire, a few love songs, and a smart theme that compares the despair of humanity with the coldness of reptiles, all set to a more alternative rock-based sound. "Pachycephalosaurus" and "Oh! Emetophobia!" are among the band's best songs, and the back-to-back "Age of Reptiles" and "Age of Insects" create a wonderfully worshipful end to the album. It’s one of Showbread’s finest and is more than worthy of its placement on this list.
