#15. Abandon Kansas
Ad Astra Per Aspera
Release Date: March 8, 2011
 |
It still baffles me why Abandon Kansas is on Gotee Records of all labels; compared to the rest of their labelmates, they seem so out of place. We're All Going Somewhere EP was a little underwhelming, but their full-length Ad Astra Per Aspera is a definite improvement. This one's worth looking into once March comes around...

They only have an EP to their name so far (since signing with Gotee anyways), but Ad Astra Per Aspera will hopefully prove to the world why they were so popular in Kansas before their record contract.

The band’s lazy pop rock sound is rather compelling. Expect Ad Astra Per Aspera to be a breakout album to many listeners.
