#3. Thousand Foot Krutch
Oxygen:Inhale
Release Date: August 26, 2014

TFK always stays in the conversation because of their earnestness. Their hard rock mix of unquenchable enthusiasm and rawness shows up on every album, and it's usually a winning formula. Their last album, The End Is Where We Begin, lost its flavor faster than 2009's Welcome to the Masquerade, but it still had some prime moments of striking songwriting that keep my hopes high for Oxygen:Inhale.

I agree with Roger on all points, but I can't help but feel like Oxygen:Inhale is bound to be something special. The End... felt a bit like a compilation of bits and pieces of everything we have come to know and love about TFK over the years, and I feel like Trevor & Co. are poised to release an inspired new collection of tunes for their second independent release since leaving Tooth & Nail...

TFK's first post-T&N foray as an independent band found them experimenting more with sounds from their past. I'm hoping that the Canadian rockers bring something to the table as excellent and energetic as their live shows.

TFK has long been a staple of the Christian rock industry, and after their independent release of The End Is Where We Begin in 2012, their fan base has never been as solid. OXYGEN:INHALE, yet another independent release, looks to shake things up and continue to exhibit the sound which has moved thousands upon thousands of albums.
