I've got a list a mile long
A desk piled high a deadline strong
But tell me will the world collapse
If I step away and take a nap

The problems will still be there
The headlines still declare
But I hear the park calling me
And popcorn sounds like prophecy

So let me get back to you
I'm stepping out to see the view
The sun's still shining sky's still blue
So let me get back to you

Tie my worries to a fence post
They'll be fine they won't get lost
They don't need me every hour
I'm off to smell some wildflowers

I could watch a drive-in show
Or find a pea patch down the road
Take some pictures skip some stones
For once just leave my phone at home

So let me get back to you
I'm stepping out to see the view
The sun's still shining sky's still blue
So let me get back to you

The lilies don't have résumés
And yet they dress in gold array
The sparrows don't have five-year plans
Yet still they sing across the land

The lilies don't have résumés
And yet they dress in gold array
The sparrows don't have five-year plans
Yet still they sing across the land

So let me get back to you
I've got some joy I need to do
The work can wait the weight can too
So let me get back to you
