No silver plates no gilded halls no records left behind
Just steady hands and steadfast love unseen but not denied
The prayers that rise in silent rooms the kindness left unknown
Each offered gift each quiet tear is laid before His throne

Don't despise the small beginnings every step is known
The God who sees in secret calls each laborer His own
What is done in love remains though unseen today
For the work you do in shadows will be honored in His name

The world may never hear your song the crowd may never cheer
But heaven writes in books of gold what time won't keep down here
Each moment held in faithful hands each burden freely born
Is treasure laid in unseen courts awaiting the first dawn

Oh the fire refines the gold though hidden from our sight
Each tested heart each weary soul will stand in perfect light
And when the sky is split apart and justice fills the land
The hands that served in secret will be lifted by His hand

Don't despise the small beginnings for the Lord delights in these
What is hidden now in shadow will be crowned in victory's peace
Not in castles not in titles not in riches that decay
But in love that lasts forever when the night gives way to day

So labor on O faithful one your toil is not in vain
The God who sees in secret will reward you in His name
