Behind the Song:
“This is my favorite song on the record, hands down. I wrote this with Ellie Holcomb. [Ellie] brought up her friend who was having trouble conceiving, and we talked through that, because we really wanted to write this song for women. She was teary-eyed about her friend who was having trouble having a baby, and I was teary-eyed about my friend who is still single and waiting for God’s right person and who desires so much to be married. We were just sitting in this idea that pushes you out from your circumstances and into what is true, really true of you… Jorge Mhondera led this with me at the IF:Gathering this past February, and when we were learning it, he just kept looking at me, going, ‘Christy, I feel invincible when I sing this song.’ I just smiled so big. That was the intention—that as a child of God, you could sing this and feel what’s true of you. In Christ, you’re invincible. That’s so powerful. And in the mundane, to bring that to every moment of life, is a pretty crazy thought.”
