“Limelight is pretty straight forward lyrically because it is based on a true story. It deals with the person who is leading a double life. The person becomes so concerned with people’s opinions that he does whatever it takes to be accepted, to not rock the boat. I found that I spent most of my energy trying to keep people from finding out that I was a big phony.
