We had no idea what Fiends would ultimately be as we were writing it. We were just a bunch of southern kids out on the road learning new things about life every day. Our goal was to explore our imaginations and come together to write a record that we would listen to - we were going for aggressive yet playful. On the surface, Fiends is a concept album featuring characters that metaphorically represent various themes and ideas. Below the surface, you can get a sense of our individual personalities coming through the music.
