For our 6th annual Highlighting feature, we've done things a little differently. Normally, we select our top 25 most anticipated releases for the whole year, but we realize that it's tough to really gauge EVERYTHING that may release throughout a given year when we're making the list in January. So, for 2012, we've split the year into TWO pieces -- January to June and June to December. Also, we're making each list 15 artists/releases for a total of 30 in 2012.

	6 of 15   #6. Seabird untitled Release Date: Fall 2012 These guys largely fell off the map in 2011, so it's about time the Morgans and their friends put out something new. Seabird is certainly made up of musical auteurs, thriving creatively while under Credential Recordings, but their potential for producing something really special only heightens with news of their independent status. One successful Kickstarter campaign later, we're in for some masterful piano rock to wash over us this fall.         - Roger Gelwicks I've loved Seabird for a long time. Great live show, great songs. So excited for their first indie release.         - Jen Rose It was the engaging live show from the Seabird boys that won me over several years ago, and a sophomore album and Christmas project later, I'm super eager to hear what these guys can produce without the strings of a label pulling the reins.
