Behind the Song:
The previous song ends with “Dear God, there’s so much to say but I’ve run out of words.” These words blend into this song, which is based on the serenity prayer. Each verse deals with one line of the serenity prayer. In reality, this was the prayer that got me through everything. I have a framed version in my bedroom; I see it every morning and night to remind me of its message.
