Lyrics:
Here comes the sun do, do, do Here comes the sun And I say it's all right Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here Here comes the sun do, do, do Here comes the sun And I say it's all right Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here Here comes the sun do, do, do Here comes the sun And I say it's all right Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear Here comes the sun do, do, do Here comes the sun And I say it's all right Here comes the sun do, do, do Here comes the sun And I say it's all right
(George Harrison)
Behind the Song: I have left out the details of my story. In doing so, I hope I have created a musical journey that is relatable to anyone going through a high conflict relationship break-up, alienation from their children or suffering from mental health issues. With so many people in separated or divorced relationships, my intention is these songs will bring comfort and inspire renewed light in your life.
I have always been a Beatles fan and wanted to end the album with a song full of optimism. Towards the end of their time as a band, The Beatles were in a similar state to that of a couple splitting up. After one of these sessions, George Harrison apparently retreated to the farm of his good friend, Eric Clapton. The serenity he found inspired him to write the song “Here Comes the Sun.” This song expresses my optimism for my new life unfolding before me. I can’t think of a better epilogue to the story of my journey.
