I decided to update this feature in December of 2021 to include 2021 in these picks. For most of the year, a couple names (mentioned below in the Honorable Mentions) vied for the top spot, but it became pretty clear after watching Spider-Man: No Way Home again, that this movie takes the cake. I can't say all of the reasons why this movie is my top pick without spoiling things for some people, but I will say it's wickedly clever, often times brilliant, well-acted, funny, very emotional, and a real blast.

Honorable Mentions: Up until about a week ago, I think No Time To Die was my pick for 2021. However, after seeing No Way Home a couple times, I knew it had to be my top pick -- it's just so good! A close second (now third) is Ghostbusters: Afterlife, with other highlights being A Quiet Place: Part II and Free Guy.
